Humans, primates in particular always had ample opportunities to employ the continuous bone projections that we call hands and fingers.

Whether it was learning how to use tools, hunt, griffonage cave walls our ancestors used them all!

This physical prowess thus aided us up on the hierarchy as the most advanced species.

Felines, on the other hand, were…different. Are different.

Take cats, for instance. Experts conclude that cats allowed themselves to be domesticized, we had nothing to do with it. Unlike dogs, who, for their companionship, herding and hunting skills were taken in as pets in their original form…Wolves!

See, dogs are herd animals. For all we know, dogs think of us as another funny-looking dog of the pack. The very reason why dogs are protective of their human friends.

Now, coming back to the heading.

Billo is a common term denoted to cats, here in India. Derived from the Hindi word, Billi (pronounce Billy with emphasis on the L)

The white rectangular thingies in the red box are Barfee.

Burfee is a traditional Indian sweet derived from milk. Usually laden with a layer of silver along with cardamom and pumpkin seeds, a staple sweet, Burfee is found almost in every state in India.

I personally love Burfee.

Following the primitive urge to wolf down a couple of Burfees before hitting the bed, the decision was followed by considerable self-criticism while I munched down the sweet delights while also apologizing to my dentist in my head.

Needless to say, I left the Burfee box outside.

I was sure that the Burfee wouldn't go bad.

My sleep was interrupted at 5 in the morning, as I rumbled down the corridor I saw numerous shreds of the bag the Burfee box was kept in.

Still groggy, my eyes didn’t seem to comprehend the clues.

Approaching the kitchen, I saw a kitten, kneading, knawing the cardboard box trying to get to the sweet.

The cat, on seeing me, ran.

What a pussy.(Pun intended)

Alright! I might have yelled at the kitten although my parents would argue that I screamed but we both know that they sort of mean the same thing.

It was a cute cat, to be honest.

It was black and had white paws. With silver highlights running across the tip of its ears. Its tail had a peculiar pattern of white almost like Pikachu's tail on colour inversion.

Anyways, the cardboard looked as if it had been subjected to a shootout by Billy the Kid.

The effort done by the cat was so impressive, I ended up feeding all of it to the cat.

PS

Sorry, I had stopped writing, I guess I had just been preoccupied.

Writing this felt good.

I guess I’ll see you again.

Until then,

Live Long and Prosper
